After several rounds of trial and error with buying and rearranging furniture, I’ve finally learned how to maximize every inch of space I have. The secret is to buy narrow products that mostly take up vertical space. In my apartment, you’ll see a high-off-the-ground bed frame, lots of floating shelves, and a pretty tall kitchen baker’s rack—all of which I’ve included in the list below, of course.
1.Yamazaki Home Rolling Slim Bathroom Utility Cart with Handle
2.Space Saving Hangers
If you hate cluttered, overstuffed closets, you’ll love these efficient space-saving hangers for dress pants (or your scarf collection, if that’s your accessory of choice). They “hang” vertically, so all of the bulk falls downwards. I also love them because it makes getting dressed way easier knowing that all of my pants are on the same hanger.
3.18 Inch Bed Frame
A high bed frame is an absolute essential for a small apartment. This bed frame has 18 inches of space between the bed frame and floor, leaving a ton of room for storage. The best part is that this eliminates the need for a box spring, saving you a ton of space and money.
4.Floating Wall TV Cabinet Stand With Power Outlet
This floating TV stand conveniently mounts on your wall, so you won’t have to worry about it taking up floor space. It’s perfect for holding any TV accessories, but I also use it as a space to display coffee table books and knick knacks. The best part about this TV stand is that it has an outlet that can connect to 3 cords at a time, so you won’t have to worry about cord-related clutter.
5.Expandable Stackable Kitchen Cabinet and Counter Shelf Organizer
This organizer is a must-buy for those with limited kitchen space. I only have three cabinets in my studio, and placing these inside of each cabinet shelf has not only increased my storage space, but also made it way easier to organize plates, cups, and pantry goods. You could also use these to straighten out items on your kitchen counter, depending on what works best for your space.
6.Under Bathroom Cabinet Organizer With Hooks
If you’re anything like me and have about 20 different bathroom cleaning products taking up space in your sink cabinets, this cabinet organizer will actually change your life. No more scrambling around for bath products or disinfecting sprays—this organizer makes it easy to take survey of the exact items in your cabinets.
7.Silicone Stove Oven Top Shelf Magnetic for Kitchen Gadgets
Whoever invented this deserves an award, because it is one of my best kitchen purchases to date, and I don’t say that lightly. It’s a magnetic shelf that attaches to the top of your stove, making it easy to grab whatever spice you need when you’re cooking. I find that it actually encourages me to use more of my spices since I’m able to see them right in front of me, so that’s also a huge bonus.
8.Hanging Door Organizer With 6 Metal Large Baskets
Another great find for my bathroom was this over-the-door organizer. With six baskets, it holds all of my toiletries, hair tools, and face towels. The best part is that the baskets are detachable, so you can customize your organizer to your liking.
9.Nightstand With Charging Station
The design of this nightstand isn’t anything groundbreaking, but its extremely functional, and comes with a charging station complete with a USB port and two outlets. It’s also highly customizable, so you can choose exactly how high you’d like the shelf to be, and whether to include the drawer before you assemble it.
10.Bakers Rack With Storage
With the tiny amount of kitchen counter space that I did have, I knew that I would need to find another area to store my appliances and tools. Thankfully, this baker’s rack came to the rescue, and efficiently holds my microwave, toaster, kettle, and coffee machine. The hooks are great for holding spatulas and other cooking utensils, too.
11.Wall Shelves Set of 3, Rustic Wood
Last but not least, I present to you these wood floating shelves. I personally love the minimalist look of them and somehow, they just make anything you put on them look super chic. (I have Sonny Angels, unframed photos, and other trinkets on these shelves and it all looks very intentional.) The shelves are surprisingly easy to install, so you won’t need to worry about doing any heavy lifting with these.
